Making a movement: a skills share and networking day for local campaign groups in Scotland

Saturday 27 October: 12pm – 5pm

Augustine United Church, George IV Bridge, Edinburgh

Campaigning NGOs in Scotland have teamed up to create a networking and skills share event.  If you are a member of a local campaign group, this is your chance to meet people campaigning on similar issues, to share ideas and skills, and to come away feeling revitalised – it’s all about you…

  • Hear from Oxfam’s programme officer in Azerbaijan about how campaigning makes a difference where it’s needed
  • Listen to seasoned campaigners from WDM and Amnesty International share their campaign stories
  • Learn new campaign skills and share your own knowledge and experience with others
  • Meet other campaigners and together develop your ideas and solutions for more effective campaigning

The afternoon will be an ‘open space’ skills share with participants setting their own agenda.

A free lunch will be provided with plenty of time to chat and network, and visit the campaign stalls.

If you are an active member of your local group, looking to develop new skills and keen to meet new people to campaign with – this event is for you!

People new to campaigning and keen to join a local group are also very welcome.

This is a free event – please contact Jane@wdmscotland.org.uk to book your place

This event is co-organised by: WDM Scotland, Amnesty International, Christian Aid, Friends of the Earth Scotland, Jubilee Scotland, Oxfam and SCIAF.
