Glasgow Eco-Congregation Network Meeting: 24th September

The Glasgow Eco-Congregation network are meeting on September 24 – here is the event blurb:

The next meeting of the Glasgow network meeting will be held at St Mary’s Parish Church, Kirkintilloch on Wednesday 24th Sept, starting at 7.30pm

St Mary’s recently obtained its first Eco-congregation award in January 2013 and so it seems a great place in north Glasgow to exchange ideas about what it takes to be an Eco-congregation.

For those congregations who are working on awards, for those who have obtained awards and for any who are considering membership this will be a great opportunity to ask questions, find out about resources and share ideas. Please feel free to invite any local congregation you know of who is considering membership of the movement.

I’m sure I’m not alone in saying how much I’ve benefited from the support and enthusiasm of, as well as problem sharing with other congregations. The ecumenical membership gives even greater scope for fellowship and communicating the importance of caring for creation as Christians. So I do hope you can come along.

A poster is attached and you can see directions to St Mary’s on their web site  htttp://www.stmaryskirkintilloch.org.uk/findus.php.

The poster referred to can be downloaded and shared with your congregations here.
