Rev Sarah Brown with 2 senior members of the church

Eco-Service, Castlemilk Parish Church Sunday May 10th, 10.30am, followed at approximately11.30am by a short walk to see the new site and hear about the environmentally friendly new building plans.

You are warmly invited to an ‘Eco-Service’ at Castlemilk Parish Church on Sunday 10th May with an opportunity to hear Eco-Congregation Scotland’s Environmental Chaplain, The Reverend Trevor Jamison preach during the service followed by a a tour and talk for visitors about Castlemilk’s exciting new building project; the result of the merging of Castlemilk East & West churches. The congregation has great plans and have been working hard to raise funds for a new church building. They celebrated the purchase of the new site, which is centrally situated in the community, on April 11th with a turf cutting ceremony.

Their building plans (which you will also be able to look at) include the recylcing of pews and paneling from the current building through their Woodwork Project – see the web site: http://www.castlemilkparishchurch.btck.co.uk

The address of Castlemilk Parish Church is 415 Carmunnock Road, Castlemilk, G45 8DG: halfway between Croftfoot Roundabout and the traffic lights at Dougrie Road.  It is on the left had side above the dual carriageway.  If using a SatNav, Carmunock Road will probably show as the dual carriageway.

We look forward to seeing you there if you’re unable to make the service, do please join us for the site visit.
