Community Networking Day

Adelaides Centre

Friday 25th April, 10am -4pm

209 Bath St, Glasgow G2 4HZ

We are at the beginning of a pilot year for Giving Nature A Home Glasgow with the aim of developing new concepts, partners and funding for an ambitious project in Glasgow over and beyond to connect people with nature in our city. This Glasgow Giving Nature A Home vision will be delivered by building on and linking existing pioneering projects, galvanizing new ones, and leading with flagship examples to create a network of wildlife havens in the city, and opportunities for people to connect with nature.  Each space will aim, both to create space for nature in our city, and to create space for our kids to reconnect with nature.

This city-wide wildlife garden would be created by a network of individual projects: from a family putting a nestbox on their house, and schools and community groups creating havens for wildlife in their grounds to the council working in parks and public spaces across the city.

In September we will run a mass-participation wildlife garden festival in the city which will promote the great work being done by groups and individuals and encourage more people to get involved across the city.

We would like to kick-start this project with a Community Networking Day on April 25th.

We hope that you will join us.

Please RSVP for catering requirement by 20th April :- fiona.weir@rspb.org.uk
