An Eco-Congregation Network for Moray

We are holding a meeting on Monday 2nd September 2013, 7.30pm at The New Room, St Giles Church, High Street, Elgin, Moray IV30 1LF to explore setting up an Eco-Congregation network in the Moray area!  There are already seventeen different Eco-Congregation networks (see http://www.ecocongregation.org/scotland/networks.html) established across the country in areas from Orkney and Aberdeen to Glasgow, Edinburgh, South Lanarkshire and Dumfries and Galloway.

If you live in the Moray area, this meeting is for you if:

  • you know nothing about Eco-Congregation but would like to do more to care for creation
  • you are just beginning to think about becoming an eco-congregation
  • you are already registered with us but would like to meet with and learn from other local eco-congregations

The aim of our ecumenical networks is to support each other by exchanging ideas and information about how to get started and then develop the spiritual, practical and community aspects of creation care.  The evening will include:

  • a  session on what you have to do to become an eco-congregation (the process is easy and helps give ideas of what to do next!)
  • a chance to hear from each other and gain inspiration from the projects that are on-going in local congregations and parishes
  • a look at how the new network will be organised in the future

Please email margaret@ecocongregation.org.uk if you would like to attend.
