Church of Scotland welcomes ‘Our Voices’ to Scotland.

The leaders of ‘Our Voices’, a new faith led campaign on climate change have come together to meet for the first time this weekend, in Scotland.

The originator of the movement, Tessa Tennant, has invited the global network to her home Glen House, near Innerleithen in the Scottish borders, to plan their 2015 campaign in the lead up to the Paris climate summit in December.

Welcoming the gathering Sally Foster Fulton, Convener of the Church and Society Council of the Church of Scotland said:

‘We are really excited about this new campaign and particularly that its leaders are meeting first in Scotland. We know there is a lot of work to do to get a secure climate change treaty at the Paris conference later this year and believe that churches and other faith groups have a huge role to play to bring this about. The Church of Scotland is committed to playing a leading role in taking forward this challenge.’
