Free training events in Edinburgh from Home Energy Scotland.

Home Energy Scotland is organising a series of training events designed to bring together individuals and organisations that work with people more vulnerable to fuel poverty (such as older people, disabled, families with children under 16, single occupancy households, pregnant women and households in rural areas). The events will be a combination of interactive workshops and presentations and will allow delegates plenty of opportunity for networking and sharing good practice with other frontline staff.

Our next training session is on 19 August and due to popular demand we will also be running two more training sessions on 29 October and 27 November; these sessions will also include an update on the new Warmer Homes Scotland scheme.

Interactive workshops and presentations:

  • Session 1: Save energy
  • Session 2: Using partnership work to help people in fuel poverty
  • Lunch and refreshments provided

By the end of the training you will have an increased understanding of energy efficiency, how to help fuel poor households access support and the practical benefits of partnership work.

Home Energy Scotland (HES) from the Scottish Government is a free and impartial energy advice service to help people save money and stay warm in their homes.
