Nature Cafés in the Scottish Elections

Do you wish issues like woodland expansion, the plight of pollinators, marine conservation, climate change, and society’s disconnection from nature were higher up the political agenda? The 2016 elections are a key opportunity to make sure that in the next Scottish parliament, they are.

Scottish Environment LINK is asking local communities to host Nature Cafés, where you can meet candidates in a more informal setting than a hustings, discuss these issues with them, and invite them to sign the Wildlife Proclamation, a pledge to act for nature if elected. This initiative is being organised by former Eco-Congregation Co-ordinator Eleanor Harris.

If you might be interested in hosting a Nature Café, have a look at the information on the website,, and contact Eleanor if you have any questions on 01786 460 360 (Monday & Tuesday only) or
