Claire Jack from the Scottish Flood Forum (see http://www.scottishfloodforum.org/) has been in touch with the following offer:

We would like to offer support to communities at risk of flood by going into communities and encouraging them to set up flood groups in order to be aware of flooding problems and to develop resilience in the face of flooding.

Resilience building involves individuals within communities working together, and ensuring that more vulnerable community members are taken care of during flooding situations.

They would like to work with any Eco-Congregation who are potentially affected. Claire would be happy to come along and discuss community resilience and flood protection products with your congregation / community. They would also be pleased to have a stall at any church / community events the church is hosting.
