St Andrew’s and St George’s West Church, Edinburgh, have received their second Eco-Congregation Award and become the 35th church in Scotland to achieve the Second Award level status. The assessors particularly commended the church on their inspiring partnership with communities in Malawi, where a real ethos of ‘learning from one another’, and practical support such as the installation of solar panels on the local hospital and a project with Edinburgh University on deforestation, have been achieved through the hard work of the church team.
