St Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Edinburgh have received the Eco-Congregation Award following a successful assessment. The assessors of the parish were so impressed with the outstanding work that St Peter’s are doing in caring for creation that St Peter’s has been awarded an outright Eco-Congregation Award, with no specific recommendations for further Eco-Congregation work, but only commendations for the work being undertaken already.

St Peter’s were particularly commended on the integration, enthusiasm and team-work of the Eco Group, the church’s plans for urban garden areas to improve the health and appearance of the church and the community, and the support for charitable enterprises that the church provides.
