Would you be interested in serving on the board of Eco-Congregation Scotland?

The board of trustees is responsible for ensuring the organisation is run legally and meeting its charitable objectives. We are constituted as a limited company so all trustees are directors of the company. The board meets four time per year and trustees also attend the AGM.

Board meetings are held during the day on weekdays in Edinburgh and typically consist of financial reports from the treasurer, reports from staff and business planning activities. There is no remuneration, but travel expenses are available for attending meetings. We also have video conferencing facilities. Sometimes we form small short term working groups for specific purposes.

At the moment we are especially keen to recruit trustees with skills in financial accounting, communication or fundraising. Anyone interested will be invited to attend one or two meetings as an observer before agreeing to take on the role of trustee.
