A special event is being held in Largs at Clark Memorial Parish Church, Bath Street, Largs KA30 8BL on Tuesday 22nd October, 7.00pm, to which you and members of your congregation are warmly invited.
Four Christian environmental, justice and peace and aid agencies are joining together to present a Workshop on Climate Change: the issues, challenges and opportunities.
Just last month the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released their 5th report. This Panel are more certain than ever that climate change is influenced by human actions. Experiences from Christian Aid and SCIAF partners across the developing world suggest that climate change is already a reality and without urgent action now, the outlook for some of our most vulnerable communities is extremely bleak.
Please come along and find out what is happening worldwide, why this represents a huge injustice for the world’s poor and what you can do about it in your church, in your community and home.
Please also publicise this event through your church notices and intimations. A poster is available to download at the link below, for printing out and display in buildings and for use in church magazines.
Everyone is very welcome!
