Come and hear from Laura Young (Less Waste Laura), Award winning climate activist, environmental scientist, and ethical influencer.

Laura has been given numerous awards, the most recent of which was being awarded the overall Scottish Influencer of the Year for 2024 for work advocating for climate and environmental justice online, particularly focussing on the campaign work she had done around banning disposable vapes in the UK!

Based in Scotland, Laura previously worked for international development charity Tearfund as COP26 Coordinator and Let’s Change The Climate programme manager, and is now a Tearfund Ambassador.
She has a wide variety of voluntary positions in the Scottish Wildlife Trust Young Leaders, Marine Conservation Society Youth Ocean Network, and 2050 Climate Group.
