Event in St Andrews – “Sustainable Money: Creating a financial system that is fit for purpose”

‘Sustainable money:  Creating a financial system that is fit for purpose’

Fran Boait of the Positive Money campaign will be giving a talk on Thursday 17th April at 7pm in the Arts Building Lecture Theatre, The Scores, St Andrews.

Our current financial system has left us with the highest personal debt in history, unaffordable housing, worsening inequality, high unemployment and banks that are subsidised and underwritten with taxpayers’ money.   The Positive Money group has researched these issues extensively and has found that these issues have a common root: money and how it is created.

Fran is coming up from London to talk about how the current monetary system works and how we can create a fairer and more democratic one, one that works for society and not against it. Everyone is welcome!
