Guided Walk in the Seven Lochs Wetland Park on Sunday 21st August, meeting at Easterhouse train station, 2pm.
Claire Quinn will be taking us on a guided walk of approximately 2 hours from Bishop Loch Local Nature Reserve to Drumpellier Country Park. There is a small car park at Easterhouse train station if required (Queen Street line). This is a linear walk so we will catch a train back from Blairhill to Easterhouse at the end. The whole walk from Easterhouse station to Blairhill station is about 4.5/5 miles, so two and a half hours gives us plenty of time for those who walk at a slower pace and also time to take in the views and come of the cultural history. There are no toilets along the route, including at both stations so I would advise walkers to go before they come to the meeting point. Good sturdy footwear is recommended. The paths are all good quality and the route is relatively flat, with a couple of long slopes in places.
