The baton was met at the station.

Then young people from St Cuthbert’s RC Church took the baton to Melrose Parish Church (Church of Scotland), where they prsented it to members of the congregation

Then they met up with young folk from Holy Trinity (Scottish Episcopal Church), and hand over the baton to them for it to go on to the church (where Rev Trevor Jamison of Eco-Congregation Scotland  preached the sermon).
