Saughtonhall URC took part in Doors Open Day last weekend.
This annual event, organised by the Scottish Civic Trust allows the general public access to buildings they might not normally visit. The church is a registered eco-congregation and part of the event was to publicise their environmental work. About 70 people attended over the two days
I think we had about 70 people over the two days which was not too bad. Interestingly the Environmental Trust people said they had had about 500 notes of interest throughout events in Scotland in September, with about 30 from our event. There were a number of good conversations during the day.
