A forward-looking church has been recognised for its eco-friendly efforts with a nomination for a prestigious environmental award.
The competition, which is run by the Church Times, sees Inverkip Parish Church in Inverclyde entered into the short-list for the annual Green Congregation Award. Three other churches across Europe are also in the same category.
Hilary Cameron, who is Inverkip’s eco congregation convener said:
“I am absolutely delighted we have been shortlisted for the Church Times Green Awards. The group is only just over a year old and we have achieved a lot in a short period of time and helped raise awareness of the importance of caring for God’s creation, now and forever.”
