Congratulations to Inverurie West Parish Church who have just received their second Eco-Congregation Award!

The assessors particularly commended the congregation for the following:

• The conversion of the church building into a flexible, multi-use centre. This truly is an example of “best practice” in this area and will, hopefully, make the building sustainable – in all senses of the word!
• The development of the Acorn Centre
• The various church initiatives in providing for youth activities, for caring groups, and the wide range of opportunities for volunteering
• The various changes already made following advice from the Energy Saving Trust
