More than forty parishioners from Church of the Sacred Heart, Edinburgh, travelled to Ormiston, East Lothian, on Sunday 1st June to celebrate Mass with Fr Peter under the Great Yew. Thought to be as much a thousand years old, the branches of this huge tree form a hollow so that, making your way in through a passage in the foliage, you emerge into a spacious inner chamber – a kind of natural cathedral – and a wonderful place to celebrate the Eucharist!
