The 2050 Climate Group are excited to announce initial details of Scotland’s 2nd Youth Climate Summit! This will take place on:
Saturday 26 November 2016
Strathclyde Technology and Innovation Centre, Glasgow
This follows the success of our inaugural summit in 2014, which saw the attendance of more than 200 young people filled with energy and enthusiasm for tackling climate change. Further details will soon be available at 2050.scot/summit.
Write it in your diary, put it in your phone, stick it on your fridge, and we’ll see you there!
The summit is themed Leading for the Future. We have flipped the “climate conference” concept on its head, and instead of focusing on climate change, this event will focus on the whole spectrum of sectors and regions in Scotland that will be affected by climate change and the low carbon transition, and what leadership in a low carbon future looks like for each sector and theme. It will leave participants with skills and understanding of how they can be future leaders.
This is not just the only conference in the UK designed by young people for young people about the challenges in their future, but it is an opportunity for all young professionals (aged roughly 20-30) to learn how to future-proof themselves for the low carbon transition we are going through.
