Dear Friends,
I have asked Gordon to forward this email to you so that I can say a heartfelt thank you for all your kind wishes, messages and extremely generous gifts to me on my retirement.
I was quite overwhelmed on Saturday at the Annual Gathering when the presentation was made and I wanted to thank you all properly. As I said, we are hoping to get more into local food production, now I have more time. In the Callander climate a polytunnel seems essential if we are to get any decent crops, so your contributions will help us realise that dream – thank you! The basket of beautiful flowers is brightening up the house (as the sleet, snow and hail rain down outside!). The cards and scrapbook with all your messages will be treasured as a great reminder of all you and the plaque may find a place in the “ECS polytunnel”!
However, it is not me or any individual who has made Eco-Congregation Scotland the vibrant organisation it is today but all of you out there in your congregations praying and teaching about caring for creation, reducing energy and waste, growing and cleaning up, campaigning and cajoling – week by week, year after year. Thank you for all you do and please keep on keeping on … only more so!
With all good wishes,
Margaret
