The United Reformed Church Synod of Scotland has decided to sell the fossil fuel stocks held in its investment portfolio. The Synod Meeting, which took place from 20th to 22nd March, also agreed that no further investment in fossil fuels shall take place.
The United Reformed Church is a denomination present in England, Scotland and Wales and the Synod of Scotland is comprises almost fifty of the URC’s fifteen hundred congregations.
