Why Worry About Food? – A Resource from Eco-Congregation Scotland

Global food production, our largest land-based activity, changes the environment, especially soil condition, soil life, water use, and biodiversity. It is also a significant contributor to the release of greenhouse gases and thus to global climate change. In a world with a growing human population questions about production, control and distribution of food affect us all. In this resource David Atkinson, from the Scottish Episcopal Church, considers food production, focusing on its environmental impact, seeking to make us better informed and so provide a good basis for action.
