CLIMATE CHALLENGE FUND UPDATE

Time is running out for community groups to apply for 2015/2016 financial year funding available through the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) and Junior Climate Challenge Fund (JCCF).

The CCF is a Scottish Government programme, managed and developed by environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful and provides funding for community groups to tackle climate change. Grants are available to support community-led projects that reduce local carbon emissions, make community improvements and help communities cope with the impacts of climate change.

The CCF supports project activities, please click  here for further details.

Grants up to £150,000 per project are available for community groups to run one year projects that plan to commence activities in April 2015. Keep Scotland Beautiful encourages community groups interested in developing an application to submit an Expression of Interest now – time is running out to develop applications in time for December 2014 Grant Panel. Further grant panels will take place in 2015 if funds remain after the December 2014 Grant Panel.

The latest CCF newsletter from Keep Scotland Beautiful is now live on the CCF website and includes links to a funding FAQ. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at Keep Scotland Beautiful if we can be of further assistance.
