Fast with France’s faith leaders.

fast

On 1 July 2015, six French faith leaders will meet with French President François Hollande, along with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and future President of COP21 Laurent Fabius, the Minister of the Environment Ségolène Royal, the Minister of Interior Bernard Caseneuve, and the Special Envoy of the President for the Protection of the Planet, Nicolas Hulot. They will give Mr Hollande an interfaith declaration calling for climate justice.

And when they meet Mr Hollande, France’s six faith leaders will fast for the climate. Will you fast with them?

Between them, these six people represent all France’s major faith communities. All across the country, the Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, Muslim, Jewish and Buddhist faiths stand together for climate justice.

But it is not just faith communities calling for climate action. Fast for the Climate is a diverse movement of people of numerous faiths (and none!), from all continents, and from different backgrounds. We are united in solidarity with the world’s most vulnerable peoples as we call for a just transition to a safe climate future.

Will you add your voice to amplify the French faith leaders’ call for real climate action? Support our Thunderclap to make sure President Hollande knows that the six French faith leaders represent a global movement of tens of thousands of people.

Let’s send President Hollande a message he has to hear.
